Wandle Park Revival event – Saturday 6th July

Wandle Park will officially reopen on Saturday 6th July, following a major regeneration and improvement programme which included the raising of the River Wandle to the surface again. Buried for decades, the river now forms the centre piece of the park.

For the opening event, there will be a community celebration event in Wandle Park on Saturday 6th July, from 12 noon until 6pm. There will be live performances, food stalls, activities for children and much more.

Friends of Church Alley, with Broad Green Residents Association, is having a stall at the event, so do come and say hello! You can also find out more about these and other local organisations and about our plans for the summer and beyond – such as our green project to raise awareness of the importance of sustainability and green issues in the area.

Helpers: if you want to volunteer to help on the stall during the day, please get in touch with Cathy on 020 8684 2445 as soon as possible.
